Now I got another favorite program to watch on MTV. Having seen the show featuring only music stars that are all my favorites, including Beyonce, Kayne West, Britney Spears and now Mariah Carey, this show is going to stay among my favorite programs on TV for quite a while.
This Saturday's night the show features the top 20 singles of Mariah Carey, one of the my favorite female singers and, as described by the American Idol's Judge Rady Jackson as one of the 5 best singers in the known world. Personally I love her voice, and I love many of her songs.

In fact, towards MC, I didn't start as a fan at all. As such a controversial artist, Mariah is loved by many while she is also hated by a lot of people; initially, which was some 5 or 6 years ago, I was among one of the latter. I hated her, just by the look of her presenting herself and going performing on stage. But I remember it clearly that this feeling changed completely after watching a show on Channel V describing Mariah's life and music careers with all the ups and downs. I also found out that quite a few of the songs that I loved were actually sung by her. Since watching that show, I've become a fan, and despite many negative images of her in the media todays, I am still a fan of her voice and her music.
Returning back to the topic of today, here is the list of MC's top official 20 songs, based on the number of sales in the UK (according to the Official 20 show on MTV):
20. Anytime you need a friend (100,000)
19. Open arms (105,000)
18. Touch my body (120,000)
17. Dreamlover (150,000)
16. My all (160,000)
15. Honey (165,000)
14. Vision of Love (170,000)
13. I know what you want (ft. Busta Ryme)
12. Heart-breaker (190,000)
11. Always be my baby (220,000)
10. Endless Love (230,000)
9. We belong together (240,000)
8. One sweet day (255,000)
7. When you believe (260,000)
6. Hero (270,000)
5. Fantasy (280,000)
4. I'll be there (345,000)
3. Against all odds (370,000)
2. Without you (440,000)
1. All I want for Christmas is you (670,000)
As the number of sales presents only the sales in the UK, it ain't very big, at first giving me quite a disbelieving impression about such artist as kayne west and beyonce being to sell such limited numbers. I'm very positive that if the numbers represented sales in the US, the figure would be a lot higher.
Anyway, I must agree these songs mentioned in this list are good and popular but I do not necessarily agree with the rank of the songs in the list. That's why I would like to come up with my personal list of the favorite songs of MC:
10. Always be my baby
9. I'll be there
8. Through the rain
7. Hero
6. Endless Love
5. We belong together
4. My all
3. When you believe
2. One sweet day
1. Without you
So you have seen the list of the official top ten songs of MC in the UK and you have also seen my personal list of her top favorite singles. To which one do you personally agree more?
